First Chapter - Special edition
DIÈSE
Dièse
Silkscreen printed on cotton, certificate and box, 100x23 cm, 2021
The physical exchanges rendered impossible by a lockdown imposed on almost all continents allowed the creation of unprecedented forms of communications. The first special edition titled Dièse, was elaborated during this period.
Seventy-five artists, choreographers, architects, publishers, singers, authors, critics, curators, and journalists were invited to contribute with a word, in the language of their choice.
The resulting artwork was silk-screen printed on cotton at Paris Print Club. It will be returned to the participants in the form of a collective score containing their imprint.
The words follow one another horizontally on category lines forming islands of meaning and correspondences.
Participants : Léa Abaroa, Etel Adnan, Nicolas Amaro, Madlen Anipsitaki, Elise d’Arbaumont, Ranti Bam, Sue Barr, Thea Bautista, Karol Beffa, Clément Benech, Chloé Bensahel, Nina Berclaz, Chloé Bonnie More, Atlal Brahimi, Robin Buchholz, Mattéo Caranta, Laurie Dall’Ava, Quentin Dauvergne, Diane Der Markarian, Rebecca Digne, Pauline Drand, Joséphine Dupuy Chavanat, Simone Fattal, Pierre Gaignard, Fernando García-Dory, Alizée Gazeau, Marie Gobin, Mathilde Gomas, Elliott Haigh, Maud Haon, Amy Hilton, Ittah Yoda, Charlotte Janis, Lucia Kempkes, Jules Kim, Jesús Labandeira Pastor, Alix de La Chapelle, Bianca Lee Vasquez, Lola Levent, Reynier Leyva Novo, Emeric Lhuisset, Luis Enrique López-Chávez, Moky May, Elsa Molinard, Alice Nadjarian, Ornaghi & Prestinari, Solène Ortoli, Juan Pardellas, Livia Parmantier, Arnaud Picollier, Susana Pilar, Lolita Pille, Shahpour Pouyan, Marie Quéau, Marco Ribeiro, Simon Riedler, Simon Rouby, Gustave Rudman, Eleonora Santucci, Nana Sawada, Thomas Schlesser, Laura Sebastianes, Ya Tien Shih, Lou Skornicki, Pierre Soulages, Manuel Stehli, Charles Swanski, Raphael Tiberghien, Akili Tommasino, Niele Toroni, Faidra Vasileiadou, Clément Verger, Yorgos Yatromanolakis, Yin Yue
